Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

Sub-folders are not shown in the Browse view when the folder has an accented
character (like Música)

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?

Start mixxx.
Go to library view, Browse any folder with an accented character, for example
/home/alejandro/Música

   * What was the outcome of this action?

The files in the directory are shown in the right side but the sub-folders are
not shown. The folder can't be expanded to navigate sub-folders.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

The folder contents are shown and can be expanded to navigate sub-folders.

If additional info is required let me know.

Regards.
Alejandro A.

it's weird.
i can confirm that mx.sourceforge.net indeed gives an error when
trying to send emails to danstowell@u.s.n, whereas when i try to send
an email to myself (zmoelnig@u.s.n) it only gives me a greylisting reject.

maybe a sourceforge bug.

Dan, would you mind changing your address to the one you use on the list?

The sourceforge mail service seems broken (I get rejects too).

 it's weird.
i can confirm that mx.sourceforge.net indeed gives an error when
trying to send emails to danstowell@u.s.n, whereas when i try to send
an email to myself (zmoelnig@u.s.n) it only gives me a greylisting reject.

Dan, would you mind changing your address to the one you use on the list?

I really don't want to do that.

The sourceforge mail service seems broken (I get rejects too).

Uh. There's a sourceforge setting to acept mail from outside or not. I
had set it to off so as to prevent spam.
So if I have to I will turn it on again, and accept spam plus debian messages...

Dan

Did you get the mail via the sourceforge alias? Or maybe just via the
mailing list used in the Maintainer field?

I've CCed your problematic mail address to see if I get a bounce.
Please don't wonder if you get the mail twice ;)

 Presumably a reference to http://bugs.debian.org/674634 .

Speaking of which, I also had to disable CELT support in jackd1 and
jackd2, since none of the upstreams has opus code ready.

That said, there was this bug report saying We'll RM celt anytime soon,
so don't use it anymore and that's it.

We can live without it in jackd1 and jackd2, and maybe some day,
somebody will port it to opus to regain the missing functionality.

I wasn't involved in the mumble discussion, but got some complaints from
users saying they can no longer join conference calls.

Long story short: this was no transition, it was EOL in 3, 2, 1, now.

I wasn't exactly happy about it, but at least it wasn't crucial for
jackd1/2. If there is consensus that CELT *will* be in wheezy, I'd use
the remaining time and re-enable it in jackd1/jackd2 again.

Adrno strong feelings either wayian

Surely you were aware that CELT was experimental and this was due
to happen?

We can live without it in jackd1 and jackd2, and maybe some day,
somebody will port it to opus to regain the missing functionality.

I wasn't involved in the mumble discussion, but got some complaints from
users saying they can no longer join conference calls.

CELT never had a stable bitstream format, so this sort of codec
compatibility issue could occur even if all parties had some version
of it.

Long story short: this was no transition, it was EOL in 3, 2, 1, now.

jackd1/2. If there is consensus that CELT *will* be in wheezy, I'd use
the remaining time and re-enable it in jackd1/jackd2 again.

It's now dead upstream, and support for any version of CELT would have
become less and less useful during the lifetime of wheezy.

Also, as I recall, there was an important security issue with no fix
available.

Ben.

Bug#679318: flumotion: twisted override bug - one more

2012-06-27 Thread John Bazik
Package: flumotion
Version: 0.10.0-2
Severity: grave
Tags: upstream patch
Justification: renders package unusable

This is the same problem I reported in #672404, but affecting a different
part of the code (there are two places that need to be fixed). To recap,
flumotion overrides an internal method in twisted, which has changed.

Description: documentation for the VideoLAN streaming solution
This package contains useful documentation for the VideoLAN streaming
solution: the VLC Play HOWTO (a complete guide to using VLC as a media
player), the VLC Streaming HOWTO (a guide to using VLC as a streaming
solution), the VLS user guide and the VideoLAN FAQ.

I think you meant VLC user guide or even VLC User Guide.

No, VLS user guide is correct. VLS stands for VideoLAN Server.

We are using a speaker setup which includes, among others, a front left,
front right, center, top center, and a floor center speaker. We
observed that a sound source panned slightly right beside the center is
almost solely played back via the center while a sound source panned slightly
left beside the center is played back by the front left, the top center,
and the floor center speaker. This has the effect that the auditory source-
width jumps, if we move the panned sound source from right to left. The reason
is as follows: for the measured azimuth/elevation angles of our speaker
positions (e.g., 3 elevated center speakers at 2°, 2°, and 3° azimuth
angle), define_loudspeakers() returns intersecting triangles. The attached
patch solves this issue.
