Please don't change the versioning scheme, and don't use upstream

package version 2.49.2 to avoid the upgrade issue.

Your package contains new components which requires manual editing of
the override file. It is ok otherwise, so please be patient. New
packages are usually added to the override file about once a week.

Hello,
I intended to work on a few packages, mainly audio-related, in order to
discover the debian packaging process and contribute to fix wheezy bugs.
I might apply for DM and join the multimedia team.
Meanwhile, please consider sponsoring my zynaddsubfx package.
I forgot to say that actually there were official deb packages using
+cvs suffix in the past (ex. 2.25b+cvs.2003.02.17-1). So, +svn
suffix might be used for the future versions of the official packages.
I mean the versioning scheme like 2.63.1 is generally necessary,

This is not an Ubuntu issue, but a PPA issue.
I don't care, really (and sorry I confused matters by mentioning a
specific Debian derivative at all). What I care about is if packages
follow our stream of changes - i.e. upstream/downstream
Sorry I was not aware of pkg-multimedia-commits list, it appears an
agreement was reached for maintainer change two weeks ago, and
Multimedia Maintainers are active on packaging zynaddsubfx since then.
