LAC includes paper sessions, workshops, and a diverse program of electronic music. *Call for Papers, Workshops, Music and Installations* We invite submissions of papers addressing all areas of audio processing and media creation based on Linux. Papers can focus on technical, artistic and scientific issues and should target developers or users. In our call for music, we are looking for works that have been produced or composed entirely/mostly using Linux. The online submission of papers, workshops, music and installations is now open at http://lac.iem.at/ The Deadline for all submissions is February 4th, 2013 (23:59 HAST) You are invited to register for participation on our conference website. There you will find up-to-date instructions, as well as important information about dates, travel, lodging, and so on. This year's conference is hosted by IEM, Graz, in cooperation with local artists and FLOSS enthusiasts. The Institute of Electronic Music and Acoustics (IEM) at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz is considered Austria's leading institution in computer music, acoustics and audio engineering and has gained international reputation for its research on spatial audio and its artistic production and research. IEM has been embracing Linux audio as a production and research environment since the mid-1990s, and has contributed to FLOSS/Linux projects, amongst others by providing drivers for multichannel audio interfaces and hosting the Pure Data community portal and mailing lists. http://iem.at/ We look forward to seeing you in Graz in May! introduction e-mail dvdauthor/ogmtools
Hi, this is my introduction e-mail. I've contributing to Debian since for over 10 years (it started out with an ITP for transgaming WineX that got squashed by the company) , but never actually got round to go for the full debian maintainership. This puts me in a bit of a pickle since I always need someone to upload the packages for me. In the past this used to be Luigi or Christian. The packages I maintain are not high profile (e.g. dvdauthor, ogmtools); but serve an audience. My background ranges from embedded to streaming video (GStreamer, mainly contributing support for the not so nice hardware encoders); google is your friend; I'm NOT the one with the mustache, nor am I a medical doctor. -> have created an alioth account. yes > have subscribed pkg-multimedia-maintainers mailing list. yes > have subscribed pkg-multimedia-commits mailing list. yes. > are familiar with managing bugs in debian. Euhm, yes :-) > agree to review other's work (patches and packages). This is one of the reasons I am joining this community instead of asking Christian Marillat to upload my packages: a strong believer of peer review; one should walk the talk; more review can only result in a better quality of the packages. Someone suggested this to me in a bug because I missed the latest dvdauthor release during the holidays. ___ pkg-multimedia-maintainers mailing list pkg-multimedia-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-multimedia-maintainers

Candidates for removal from testing
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA256 Hi, We are considering removing the following packages from testing as they have unfixed RC bugs filed against them. The packages can be found in the attached dd-list. The bugs that put them on this list can be found in the removals file (also attached) just above the package name. The packages have been selected based on the following criteria: * The package had at least one RC bug without activity for the past 14 days. * If a bug is assigned to multiple packages, both packages will be affected. * The RC bug affects both unstable and testing. * The affected package does not have any reverse dependencies in testing. If the relevant RC bugs in the affected packages are not dealt with /before/ Friday the 26th of Oct., the packages will be removed from testing. Note that "dealt with" may also include downgrading a severity-inflated bug or fixing affected versions in the BTS. Please remember to file unblock bugs for packages fixed via uploads to unstable (and tpu bugs for requests to fix the package via a tpu upload). Should you need a bit more time than given, please do not hesitate to contact us. It is also easier for us if we can avoid having to reintroduce a removed package. We will check the DELAYED queues before activing the removal hints, so NMUs in the DELAYED queues will be given a chance to reach unstable. Thanks, Niels (on behalf of the Release Team) The bugs were found using the tools from: svn://svn.debian.org/svn/collab-qa/rc-buggy-leaf-packages http://release.debian.org/wheezy/freeze_policy.html --8<8<-- dd-list --8<8<-- Aleksey Kravchenko rhash Alessio Treglia beast (U) Andres Mejia firmware-crystalhd Andrew Pollock barada-pam Anibal Avelar pidgin-sipe Antonio Radici cfengine3 Barak A.
