Bug#722430: supercollider: Should use system yaml-cpp

2013-09-13 Thread Dan S
Ah, that's useful. Actually, though, I don't believe porting is
required. The yaml-cpp website says that the old 0.3 API will
continue to be supported, and will still receive bugfixes, and debian
has libyaml-cpp0.3 available everywhere.

Fixed in 5f4d0fb

Thanks
Dan

2013/9/10 Felipe Sateler fsate...@debian.org:
 Source: supercollider
 Version: 1:3.6.3~repack-2
 Severity: normal

Debian now has yaml-cpp, so supercollider should use it. Unfortunately,
sc requires yaml 0.3, so some porting seems to be required.

The code to detect the availability of libavcodec and libswscale seems
to broken. Although they are listed in Build-Depends, the configure
script doesn't detect them:
| libavcodec --- no
| libswscale ---
(from
https://buildd.debian.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=synfigarch=i386ver=0.64.0-1stamp=1368575860)

Please either fix the detection of the libraries or remove the useless
build dependencies on libavcodec-dev and libswscale-dev.

 Use system libyaml-cpp0.3 (fixes #722430)

libyaml-cpp0.3 is bound to go away, and the headers do not match this
version anymore. I think we should keep using the bundled version
until sc is ported to a newer yaml-cpp

Filed a bug for the sparc issue. This is either a issue in pyliblo

I was unable to reproduce the mips issue. It built fine for me on a mips

Using system yaml-cpp 0.3, as implemented in my commit? Curious -
worked for me. I don't see why 0.3 is bound to go away in the
medium-term, given that their upstream is so loud about keeping it.
But I don't mind either way - if you think, then we should reverse my

Re: Log for attempted build of pyliblo_0.9.1-3 on m68k (dist=unstable)

2013-09-13 Thread Thorsten Glaser
Jaromír Mikeš dixit:

Sebastian tried reproduce unsuccessfully this issue on a mips porterbox.
Any advice what more we do for fixing this problem?

No idea offhand but this might have to do with timing granularity
and/or floating point precision.

If you can give me freestanding test code I can run on an m68k box
that might help; otherwise, https://wiki.debian.org/Aranym/Quick
contains ready-made m68k VM images, if you want to do that.

(Unfortunately there is no m68k porterbox at the moment, and there
are no realistic plans to get one short-term. Sorry.)

getting openni2 into Debian

2013-09-13 Thread Hans-Christoph Steiner

Hey Hauke,

I'm emailing you as part of the team working on the OpenNI packages for
Debian. I'm glad to see you're work on openni2!
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=707056

In case you haven't seen it, the most up-to-date version of the 'openni'
package is here:
http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-multimedia/openni.git;a=summary

All of the other OpenNI-related packaged are part of the Debian pkg-multimedia
project, and the git repos are there:
http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?a=project_listpf=pkg-multimedias=opennibtnS=Search

It would be great if you could also work out of a git repo hosted by the
pkg-multimedia team. I can set up the repo, you just need to create an
account on Alioth, the Debian git host:
https://alioth.debian.org/account/register.php

then request to join the pkg-multimedia project here:
http://alioth.debian.org/projects/pkg-multimedia

We can then work out the final details and upload openni2 to Debian!

These are all fixed.

Is the source required to be there in order for it to be included? A PDF is a
binary format generated from other files, but it is also a file format that
can be read and edited by many free programs.

This is still broken and failed to build on the buildds. See

Thanks, it looks like introducing .symbols wasn't a good idea... I'm
not sure how to handle situation like this...

Sebastian, could you please comment/advise on the following bug as well:

 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=709779

If you don't want to deal with symbols for a C++ library, you at least
want to run dh_makeshlibs with -V 'libsynfig0 (= x.y)' and bump x.y
whenever new symbols appear. See dh_makeshlibs(1) for more details.

OpenNI_UserGuide.pdf in original Microsoft Word format?

2013-09-13 Thread Hans-Christoph Steiner

Hey,

I have a small request: would it be possible to include the original Microsoft
Word document that OpenNI/Documentation/OpenNI_UserGuide.pdf is generated
from? It would be useful for people used to that format rather than PDFs, and
also the original format is a better source for converting to other formats

Lastly, the last blocker issue preventing openni from being officially
accepted into Debian and Ubuntu is the missing source file to
OpenNI_UserGuide.pdf.

The authors of the original are listed as Einat Kinamon and Debbie Gold Hadar.

Thanks in advance!

Bug#722842: synthv1 link with -L/usr/lib

2013-09-13 Thread YunQiang Su
Package: synthv1
Version: 0.3.3-1
X-Debbugs-CC: wzss...@gmail.com

This package has one or more -L/usr/lib in its build system,
which will make it ftbfs if there is libraries under /usr/lib,
while is not the default architecture, mips* for example.

On mips* systems, /usr/lib is defined as place to hold O32
libraries, and /usr/lib32 for N32, and /usr/lib64 is for N64.

Beside the way, on the multiarch system like Debian, user may install
libraries under /usr/lib by hand.

Please use the default search path if you can, and please consider fix
this.

I will try to fix this bug, while if you can help to fix it,
It will be very appreciative.

The attachement is the buildlog of this package on mips64el platform.
