Bug#581800: smplayer: no sound

2010-05-16 Thread Maia Kozheva
Starting with version 0.6.9, smplayer uses pulse by default rather than alsa. You will have no sound if you don't have PulseAudio installed. To fix this, open Options - Preferences - General and on the Audio tab, set Output driver to alsa. 16.05.2010 06:28, Michael Hatzold wrote: Package:

Status of gtkpod and libgpod maintenance

2010-08-11 Thread Maia Kozheva
Greetings! I have noticed that the state of gtkpod and libgpod in Debian is... less than ideal. gtkpod hasn't been updated since late 2009 and version 0.99.14; libgpod's two latest uploads have been NMUs. What's the status of the gtkpod maintainer team? Are there new releases planned? If

Bug#583398: opening files from thunar does not work, wrong path arguement in smplayer.desktop?

2011-04-16 Thread Maia Kozheva
I could not reproduce this bug with thunar 1.2.1-3ubuntu1 and smplayer 0.6.9-1 under Ubuntu Natty. I suspect the bug was fixed in Thunar 1.2.x. I'll test under unstable, which has 1.0.x. In either case, I think it's a bug in Thunar rather than SMPlayer, and doesn't warrant a change from %U to

Bug#583398: opening files from thunar does not work, wrong path arguement in smplayer.desktop?

2011-04-28 Thread Maia Kozheva
It seems that the issue here is the handling of urlencoded filenames. When I try to play a URL without urlencoded (%xx) characters, it opens, but not with urlencoded characters. smplayer file:///tmp/Inception.avi works; smplayer file:///home/sikon/%D0%92%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE/156625.avi

Status of easytag in Debian and Ubuntu

2011-05-01 Thread Maia Kozheva
As confirmed in this Sourceforge thread: http://bit.ly/ikwQgj , easytag's original upstream (on Sourceforge) is deader than disco. I see two options here: either rebase the easytag package to the github fork, or remove it altogether and direct users to alternatives such as exfalso, kid3, and

RFS: easytag 2.1.6+git20110423-1

2011-05-02 Thread Maia Kozheva
easytag is ready for uploading to unstable. Why a git snapshot? Long story short, it's been a long time since a normal release; easytag's original upstream (on sourceforge) does not respond to mail, and the last release was in 2008. In late 2010, a fork appeared on github with the same name,

The package looks fine to me, but IANADD (I am not a DD). One thing I'd possibly change is specifying the packaging license as GPL-2+, same as upstream, instead of the more restrictive GPL-2. signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.
