Starting with version 0.6.9, smplayer uses pulse by default rather than
alsa. You will have no sound if you don't have PulseAudio installed.
To fix this, open Options - Preferences - General and on the Audio
tab, set Output driver to alsa.

I have noticed that the state of gtkpod and libgpod in Debian is... less
than ideal. gtkpod hasn't been updated since late 2009 and version
0.99.14; libgpod's two latest uploads have been NMUs.
What's the status of the gtkpod maintainer team? Are there new releases
planned?

I'd also say it will be interesting to maintain gtkpod (and its lib) in

I could not reproduce this bug with thunar 1.2.1-3ubuntu1 and smplayer 0.6.9-1

I suspect the bug was fixed in Thunar 1.2.x. I'll test under unstable, which

doesn't warrant a change from %U to
It seems that the issue here is the handling of urlencoded filenames. When I

easytag is ready for uploading to unstable.
Why a git snapshot? Long story short, it's been a long time since a normal
release; easytag's original upstream (on sourceforge) does not respond to mail,
and the last release was in 2008. In late 2010, a fork appeared on github with

The package looks fine to me, but IANADD (I am not a DD).
One thing I'd possibly change is specifying the packaging license as GPL-2+,
same as upstream, instead of the more restrictive GPL-2.

Alas, this is blocked by the license incompatibility issue with libmp4v2.
Unless someone writes a patch to use GStreamer or libavformat for editing MP4
tags, this won't be fixed.

outdated and generally of no interest to end users.

This was fixed previously with a Debian patch, which is now merged upstream,
but
apparently the previous maintainer forgot to close the bug. Closing.

I have reasons to believe this bug may be fixed in the latest version in
unstable, 2.1.6+git20110423-1, or even with version 2.1.6-1 currently in
testing.
Could you please test this bug with one of these versions?
