Package: blender
Version: 2.49+dfsg-1
Severity: normal

Hi,

there's something wrong with FFMpeg in the blender debian package, here's the
steps to reproduce the crash:

1. Open blender
2. Go to Buttons Window and then go to the Scene panel (F10)
3. In the Format tab select FFMpeg file format
4. Got to the Video tab and hit the Menu button: Blender crashes!

This is the easiest way to reproduce the crash, but sometimes it happened to
me also when rendering animations and saving them in a FFMpeg format.

All this doesn't happen with the offciial build from blender.org, so users can
use that as a temporary workaround.

Thanks,
   Antonio
