No, its not. The csound build system relies extensively on testing for
'linux' for lots of functionality. Porting work is needed, but I don't
have time or motivation for that. I don't think many people will use
csound from freebsd, there's not much point.

One point in ensuring support also on alien architectures is to shake
out weird bugs appearing first on odd system and maybe only through
carefully crafted evil hacks on more popular ones.

Man power is still needed to do the actual work, though.

 One point in ensuring support also on alien architectures is to shake out
 weird bugs appearing first on odd system and maybe only through carefully

Note that csound happily builds on all architectures. The biggest
problem is that csounds build system, when checking for functionality
does not always test directly for that, but uses the OS as a proxy.
So, for Windows it would enable some flags, others for OSX and yet
others on linux. Most of these are actually dependent on the gcc
version being used (or indeed if it is gcc at all), and whether the
system is a posix one or not. Csound generally sticks to standards, so
bugs of this kind are rare.

 = No migration to testing for 27 days.
   See http://release.debian.org/migration/testing.pl?package=lives

Has seen an upload on April 11, so it should migrate soon.

 === mplayer:
 = 3 Release Critical bug(s):
 - #568272 http://bugs.debian.org/568272
   mplayer: Overwrites configuration file it generated itself

Fixed in my local git

 - #576591 http://bugs.debian.org/576591
   mplayer - gmplayer fails by default
 - #576592 http://bugs.debian.org/576592
   mplayer - Tries to use OSS first

Should be downgraded, affects gmplayer only.

Benjamin, do you still think we should continue shipping gmplayer?

BTW, I have been told that if we revert the addition of mplayer-nogui,
so that we don't require editing to the override files compared to what
is currently in unstable, we can upload mplayer again. I've therefore a
local mplayer branch where I've merged from the ubuntu package, but
disabled mplayer and mplayer-gui. I'm not wondering if gmplayer should
just be dropped or merged into the mplayer package, as it was before.

Opinions?

 === Packages with a new upstream version according to DEHS:
   bristol  0.50.6  (Debian: 0.40.8-1)
   ffprobe  53  (Debian: 0.svn92-1)

ffprobe has now been merged into ffmpeg upstream, but for squeeze, we
might indeed want to upgrade the package

   kmidimon  0.7.2  (Debian: 0.7.1-1)
   liblivemedia  2010.04.09  (Debian: 2010.02.10-1)

xtophe, do you know if it's safe to update this?

   mediatomb  0.12.1  (Debian: 0.12.0~svn2018-6)
   mhwaveedit  1.4.18  (Debian: 1.4.15-2)
   smplayer  0.6.9  (Debian: 0.6.8-2)

no idea about these, perhaps we should just upgrade them.

the armel buildlogs indicates a buildproblem with gcc-4.4, which is now
the default system compiler. Bug #570848 filed

 === audacity:

Another gcc-4.4 problem. Bug #570849

it looks like ffprobe could make it for inclusion into ffmpeg 0.6.
