Sorry for getting back to this so late. Turns out this was a linux bug with delivering SIGWINCH when CONFIG_PREEMPT was enabled. First appeared in 2.6.26rc1 and was fixed in 2.6.27rc1. -sqweek ___ Pkg-xfce-devel mailing list

I don't use xfce or xterm, but I noticed the same thing with wmii and rxvt-unicode when I upgraded my kernel (and only my kernel!) from 2.6.25 to 2.6.26. It almost feels to me as though the resizes are being queued, and the curses app keeps on getting the previous instead of current terminal
