Hi,

What is the chance of this event being cancelled due to coronavirus? I
have to book tickets on advance, unfortunately flight is the most

Hi,

My plan is to commute from Munich daily, so for the purpose of the
sprint you can consider I have a place to stay :)

Ah, okay, yeah, sure, come hang out with us ;)

Cheers

Re: Plasma Sprint 2020 in Augsburg, Germany

2020-02-24 Thread Kai Uwe Broulik

Hi,

  1. Is it OK to join the sprint for those who don't touch Plasma
source code on a regular basis? Would this make the sponsored office
space overcrowded?
(Asking for myself. Of course I won't request travel support.)

I think we could host another person ;)

  2. May we please merge "Arrival/Leaving" columns in the attendance
table so I can answer e.g. "weekends: 18-19, then 25-26"?

So you're coming only on the weekends. Do you have a place to stay?

  3. Do you expect the sprint to go on in parallel with Linux-Infotag
on 2020-04-25?

Yeah, people who don't want to go to the Linuxtag will continue to hack
at the office.

  4. Are you going to give your talk in German or English?

German.

Cheers
Kai Uwe

Hello again,

I have now booked a hotel for all of us. We'll be staying at Hotel B&B
Augsburg, in walking-distance to the venue.

Everyone who's had their name on the wiki [1] until now (and is marked
with an "ok") was considered. As with sprint tradition I've booked
double rooms with separate beds. If anyone isn't comfortable with or
unwilling to share rooms, please let me know, but be aware that it is
getting increasingly hard to get rooms in that timeframe, which is why
I've just had to book now.

Anyone else who still wants to join the sprint, please get in touch. We
should have room for 1-2 persons more on that same booking but other
than that please see for booking an accomodation yourself.

Thanks
Kai Uwe

Plasma Sprint 2020 in Augsburg, Germany

2020-02-12 Thread Kai Uwe Broulik

Hi everyone,

I'm happy to announce that we have some dates for our annual Plasma sprint!

This year it's kindly being hosted by our friends at TUXEDO Computers in
Augsburg, Germany from Saturday 2020-04-18 till Sunday 2020-04-26.

There'll be network, power, snacks, and drinks, as well as a cantine in
the building and restaurants nearby apparently. If we wanted to do a Q&A
session similar to what the PlaMo sprint did or have a Virtual Attendee™
like during the Frameworks sprint, TUXEDO could also organize a
microphone and webcam setup for us.

As an additional Schmankerl during the sprint on Saturday 2020-04-25 the
19th Augsburger Linux-Infotag [1] takes place at Hochschule Augsburg.
Both TUXEDO and KDE will have a booth there. Admission is free and it
would be a nice opportunity for anyone attending to get in touch with
some of our users and other FOSS projects there, so I highly recommend
you go! Of course people helping out at the booth would be appreciated. ;)

Please add yourselves to the Wiki page if you're interested in attending
[2]! Also make sure to request travel support if you need to [3].

Cheers
Kai Uwe
