Both psc output and stdout now match the C version. I get the same good results here. perl Missing examples : Differing postscript output : Missing stdout : Differing stdout : So the combination of PDL-Graphics-PLplot-0.47 and the current set of Perl/PDL examples is looking good for the forthcoming PLplot release on the weekend of January 17-18th. > I'm still mulling over what to do about the scrambled argument order in many > calls, fixing that (and cleaning up the rest of the interface) will be a big > task! Let me know when you need some testing of your API changes. If you want to avoid making a lot more "throwaway" testing releases at CPAN, you could also just e-mail me the appropriate PDL-Graphics-PLplot tarball attachment to test until you are satisfied you have made all API changes that you want to at this stage. I can take responsibility for editing all the examples so they correspond to the new API and also doing the build system change so that your new version of PDL-Graphics-PLplot with the API change would be a requirement. I would do all these changes on the PLplot side of things in a branch so as not to interfere with the above good result for the release. However, there may still be a slim chance that your API changes and my corresponding example changes could be quickly completed (say in the next 10 days) with the same perfect results as above. In that case the branch could be merged with the svn trunk version and used for the forthcoming release. On the other hand, if your desired API changes do take some substantial time to complete, then doing the corresponding PDL changes on the PLplot side after the forthcoming PLplot release is a reasonable alternative as well.
