Any migration hints (iSiloWeb - Plucker)?
I'd appreciate any info as well. I've looked at plucker but I'm still
confused by it.
As long as you can get the content and the original URLs from iSilo,
you can use those in Plucker. As for directly reading iSilo content directly,

I'm having trouble viewing a book I downloaded. I downloaded plucker so I
could read it, but all plucker is showing me is it's user files.
Is the book in Plucker format (not DOC format)? Do you have
SysZLib.prc loaded? You'll need that if the book is compressed with zlib
compression.
Frankly, _I_ appreciate the book uploads to PalmGear, as well as the
notices via the plucker user mailing list.
How about a compromise...
The Plucker website already lists the ebook repositories in the FAQ
(these e-book sites will soon be directly linked from the Links page
I tried converting an image using bpp=4 for my Handspring Visor Deluxe
(Palm OS 3.1H3M) and got a message saying that depth was not support. I
tried it on pose too. What OS version do I need to support that depth, do
you know?
This may help:
Is there TODO to improve the Table support in Html ? Because less app
support well with the table format on palm.
We do not currently support tables or frames. If you feel this is the
type of functionality you desire, please feel free to take a look at the
current codebase, and
I currently am generating at --bpp=4 but am getting only shades of grey.
4bpp is 16 shades of grey, none of those greys include color.
Do I need to go to 8 or 16 to get color?
8bpp works on my device, though it will supply only 256 colors. 256
colors is good enough anyway,
Has anyone actually tried running plucker on an actual Handera 330?
Pose with the 330 ROM causes (released) plucker 1.1 to go into an infinite
redisplay loop.
AFAIK, nobody on the development team has an actual Handera 330 in
their posession (and my wallet can't keep funding
The STAYBELOW/STAYONHOST are extra fields in HTML and may not be handled
by all HTML editors well. Of course, in XML, it's just a matter of your
DTD definition.
Any HTML editor that tries to interpret those unknown tags should be
shot. We've chosen them with that in mind. Sure, they
However, I will make a trip to Bielefeld (Germany) tomorrow and won't be
back until Monday evening next week, so unless someone else adds it to CVS
(should also add a simple Makefile and README) it won't be added before
the end of next week.
Consider it done. I'll robustify it a
It would greatly help if the URLs for many Avantgo channels were known.
Many sites have Avantgo channels set up, but do not link to the URL that
implements them. So, while they do have a Palm-ready service, which would
be usable through Plucker, Plucker users can not use it because they do
We wanted to send you a quick note to let you know that your software has

Does the lastest version of Plucker support placing the program and or
data files on the new Palm 505 (Secure Digital) SD card?
No, not yet. I've ordered my m505 though with rush overnight shipping,
and will test this out once Palm begins shipping them.
I am making some books which
How do I find your product and download it?
How did you find the mailing list? Incidentally, the url to the
Plucker homepage has been in my headers for quite some time now. =)

The plucker web page -- the most useful place for a FAQ-- doesn't have
a FAQ in any obvious place (there's no link on the main page, the
search link goes nowhere, and the links link is also empty). The next
step a reasonable person might take is to download the latest release
of the

I changed it right when I saw this come through.

I have recently downloaded and tried Plucker as an alternative to
AvantGo - mainly because of its ability to cope with local web pages
on the hard disk.
Good point.
Bill, we missed this one yesterday! DAMN!
First, I couldn't find an explination of the URL styntax of
Don't you mean $(date "+%Y-%m-%d")? Aren't `s advised against?
It was simply a quick-and-dirty example, production code of course
wouldn't (shouldn't) use this type of binding. Good call.

Incidentally, how well (if at all) does the parser handle juggling
cookies? Receving them and passing them back and forth with each request.
I don't believe the parser handles them at all. My thinking was that
that kind of thing would be done with Sitescooper instead.

I'm running on Palm IIIc with Palm OS 3.5.2 using a Windows NT 4.0
SP6a.
Which version of the Plucker package are you running? SR1 or SR2?
Dirk just released a fix for some issues on SR1. If you check the website,
the new SR2 package is linked from the downloads page.

It might be a good idea to add a short note about the RH7/python
problem.
Can you describe it, so I can write it up? I haven't been
following the RH7 thread much.
