I think we need a plug-forsale list. It will move the forsale postings off
to its own area and might get some people to clean out their hardware
backlogs.

yep, i have asked in the past if forsale was ok on this list and don't
think i ever heard back. a forsale list seems great.
i would find it useful as well. As long it was a forsale/trade/wanted
I could use a dozen old COAX 10Mbs NIC's that don't even have to work
and this I bet would be the place to ask :-)

Pete,
I just gave two of those to Free Geek about a week ago. I think the list
would be a good idea as well...

Plug-talk gets very little traffic. Prefixing the subject with For Sale or
FS will let readers filter as they see fit.

I have three of them -
Dont have to work, I am going to remove the pulse transformers
for a non computer related project.
Does someone on the list work/volunteer at Free Geek or does
someone know who I can call there ? Seems they don't put them
out in the store. Can't blame them for that :-)

I'm also against a new list, until we have an issue of someone bombing this
list with an overload of For Sale, etc. posts.
Besides given how few of the not so huge list of folks on here will think
to also enroll in the PLUG-forsaletradeorwhatever list, that marketplace
will be SMALL. Not worth

I'll cast my vote for the PLUG-TALK list as appropriate for hardware
sales. It's not specifically linux/UNIX yet appropriate for
ok, since the consensus will probably never be reached on using this
list for such purposes, and i have *free stuff* i'm just gonna drop
this bomb here.
does anyone have a genuine interest in IRIX and SGI hardware?
i have some machines (an indy w/indycam, an indigo 2 r1 cpu, max

My understanding was that a couple of the games you mention would run
under wine but due to your choice of a RHEL clone the mesa drivers
weren't up to date because video on a server distro just isn't much of
a priority.
I suspect to get what you want, you're going to either pay people to
do it or
