I successfully migrated myself to my other machine running Ubuntu 12.04
and so have made the need to undo the LibreOffice update moot, since
12.04 uses 3.5.2.

It depends on your dongle. I had one (galen still has it?) that
worked out of the box on you-dumb-too. Drivers vary, so depending on
your dongle it may or may not work for y
The best way is to get Clear's standalone modem/router. then it's just an
ethernet cable. their little USB access device is non-trivial to get
working last I checked. things may have changed since then, for better or
worse.
