Second 0 was midnight, January 1, 1970 UTC.

I'm not sure of all the historical reasons, presumably a reasonable if
arbitrary choice for people working on operating systems and programming
languages in the 1970s.

[PLUG] Looking for a Linux consultant

I've operated a small but steady IT consulting operation in the Portland
area for about five years.  My clients generally have Linux on the servers
and Windows on the desktops.  There are a few Windows servers present to
support specific applications.  I don't generally need to do much with the
desktop systems.

I'll be relocating out the area in a few months, so I'm looking for someone
that might be interested in buying my business.  It has been my full time
job the entire time and my income has been pretty reliable.  I have no
employees.
