I've been using Slackware at home for 20+ years; and, though I may not have all the answers, I can point you in the right direction. Besides https://docs.slackware.com/ there are also a few other helpful sites. I have Slackware64-current running on 2 boxes here so I can double check any glitches you may experience. Be aware that Slackware64-current is the testing branch and is a bit of a moving target. version 1.3.0 of the Live version is a about 2 months behind the source tree (think "rolling release").
