Hey all!

I am waiting to hear back if someone would like to give a talk on the recent CPU vulnerabilities but have not receive a confirmation.

Either way, PLUG has a whole year of ripe slots to fit with amazing content from local speakers, visiting speakers and YOU!

If you've never given a talk, please consider it! Many of us will help you through it, even if you just have a topic you want an open discussion on.

Topics I would love to see:

* Securing SSH with blacklistd (FreeBSD/NetBSD) or similar and GeoIP blocking. What region lists are trustworthy?

* HOPE for an open phone platform, be it raw Android or who knows what. What's up with Mozilla, Ubuntu, OpenMoko, SilentCircle (?) all wandering off? Will all 32-bit Android phones be useless within a few months for lack of updates? Are we already there?

* Open source home sensors, surveillance and nifty things.

Note that REFERRALS of speakers are just as good. You don't have to know the tech... only someone who does.

Plan B is me talking about my nifty FreeBSD hypervisor gizmo that runs versions of the OS back to 5.0 or maybe something about the Linux subsystem for Windows that I installed yesterday. SLIGHTLY maybe ZFS on Windows but I can't imagine anyone wanting to hear about that.

Thanks!
