Hackfest http://it-clowns.com/c/index.php/hackfests/ today!
This is a hands on practical lab providing desktop, network, and target
servers that fail to maintain patches or include configuration errors.
Each month, we describe very clearly via end presentation, how the target

Eric,
I have had the Seagate as part of the same disk set running as a software
RAID10 on the host machine without any problems prior to trying to run it
from the vm. Before recreating the array through the vm I zeroed the
superblocks and even zeroed the old partition tables and reinitialize GPT

Mike,
You need a wireless router for one thing and who is your Internet
service provider?

I just want to use it on my home network, I don't want to connect it to the
internet. The pc the printer was connected was moved to into the living
room when it was decided to run xbmc (still working on that, I'm in the
xbmc forums now).

lspci tells me my video card is :
00:01.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee
ATI Wrestler
[Radeon HD 6250]
and lscpu tells me :
Architecture: i686
CPU op-mode(s):32-bit, 64-bit
Byte Order:Little Endian
CPU(s):2
An 800Mhz processor seems a little weak to me. The video card might be
fine. Are you running the AMD catalyst proprietary drivers (fglrx), If
not, you might want to try those out, your video players might be able
to use your video card to decompress the video. That video card is
fairly low
if I remember right I had problems installing the fglrx drivers but I would
like to try to install them again. I can't find where to attempt this from.
Can I get some direction?

I feel retarded. I can't remember if you are supposed to strip cat 5 to
the copper before you crimp it. I'm thinking no but I need to make sure.

No, Just crimp it the conductors on the RJ45 jack will pierce the
insulation. If you have stripped it, it will probably short inside the
plug.

nope installing the driver did nothing to improve it. I even restarted
the computer; bummer! Or is there something else that needs to be done
besides just apt-get install?

It was worth a try, It looks like your system is just too slow, try
re-encoding to a smaller video like I said in my last message, that
should take care of the problem.
