I followed the directions in the link for shutting Tracker off.

I'll second (or forth) for mint debian edition.
I've had some quirks, usual crap with i386 vs amd64 architecture,
libssl0.98, but most have been pretty easy to figure out with a google

learning curve none the less with debian.
Yo Kid,
Please check this link for solutions, such as how to remove or disable
(since Tracker is a dependency for some programs):

The indexing service is adjustable - you can 'nice' it or set it to
not run when the desktop is in use.
You might reconsider disabling it, especially if you use Gnome3, as

Simple question: I'm looking to see if anybody knows of any mobile apps that
run in either iOS or Android that support a mobile hotspot (or personal
hotspot) and allow more than 5 DHCP connections? Preferably up to 255,
although 50 is about as many as I'd need.

Thanks but this has to be accessible to anybody.
No jailbreaks.
AFAIK this is NOT a hardware limitation. It’s just that the folks who provide
hotspot apps are all in cahoots with the phone companies who don’t want people
setting up one phone that everybody at Starbucks can use for free.
Hello,

DVD and cannot. I get a popup shortly after I insert the DVD which
allows me to open the burner software, however is says something to the
effect that the medium is not valid. I can burn CD's but not DVD's. A
