Does anyone have any experience with the different options for
replacing Adobe Flash in Firefox?
The advise is to replace it, but with what, and why hasn't the Firefox
updates done it automagically?

Firefox uses a flash plugin, so either way, you need to install the new
stuff, and then the new plugin. You MAY need to set the plugin in firefox
if it doesn't do it for you.
