Interesting. I do think there is and has been for a while some search
results manipulation on Google and it does not surprise me that LinkedIn
is doing the same.
From what I have read, PHP/MySQL makes up the lion share of the
Internet. Add to that Linux is a major player as well.

What I know is ever since Microsoft bought LinkedIn, they seem to only want to
send me .NET offers. Even though I have zero .NET listed in my experience, and
I only have searches for "PHP Programmer" and "PHP Developer"
I get a dozen local .NET positions.
