Yes, the Free Software Stammtische in Avondale and Tempe are on Tuesday,
August 21st at 1900. It is an informal meeting revolving around, but
not excluding all but Free Software.

found it; and i think this has happend to me before.
gdm was missing. I dont know how but the gdm package was not on my system.
I just ran yum install gdm then reboot, and I was back in business.

I had a similar problem with a USB card reader and a ScanDisk Memory
stick. After trying things like running Windows drivers for it in Wine, I
decided to try plugging it into the back USB ports instead of the front
