Has anybody ever installed jabber IM Server ??
Cud u tell me is it neccessary to configure DNS to install jabber?
No, it is not necessary to configure a DNS server. You can setup a server
very quickly. I think Jive is very easy to seup, but does not scale up very
well.

where? Configure for
I installed Mandriva 2006 and it did all that I
wanted. It was a
breeze. I had the system up in 20 minutes.

I installed the live cd thing. The kde version is
quite outdated - 3.4.

Qhy don't u try Suse 10.1. It is really cool in terms of configuring and
usability for a novice.
