What are your recommendations for hosting of .in sites?
To the best of my knowledge you can host your .in domain with any web
hosting co. and in your DNS tables point the relevant entries to the IP
number alloted to you by the web hosting co.
Generally host it on an hosting server which is physically located in
india... so undersea cable cut won't affect indian visitors assuming
you are going to use it for primarily visitors from indian geography.

3. Hosting in India is more expensive.
4. I would ignore the undersea cable issue - that happens rarely
Looking for recommendations. Specific names are expected.
I use bluehost.com for a .com site and they are my first choice. As
they do not host .in sites I am looking for other options.

They seem to allow .in as
looking for things like 24x7 tel support and other things you must be
needing way help you narrow down your search to select what you
need...
just an opinion!
