 Hey Everyone,

I'd like to get a linux box set up with screencapture software
we can use at SkillsCamp on Saturday to create screencasts
of people doing development stuff on linux.

Does anyone know the best software for doing this ?

I have tried gtk-recordmydesktop and istanbul.
Neither have always worked perfectly for me but I
should admit, I have never bothered much to find
out the problem.
I do remember taking some screenshots of beryl
using istanbul. It was in ogg format, it worked fine
on my PC then.

http://kushaldas.in/?p=113 seems to think that Recordmydesktop works
fine, don't know more about it though

http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/ScreenCasting has different software and
procedures including scripts.
