Hi bpa,
I went to BBC 6 Listen Again page and listened to Lively Up Yourself
via their Real Audio player. And... it does sound exactly the same.
Either the BBC encoding has a problem or it's the wierdest radio
program I've ever heard, maybe I'm getting old
Just to confirm. I have been happily listening to a programme from my
AlienBBC playlists.

Just tried to install gslimp3 on Fedora Core 5. Install seems to go okay
but I get the following error message when I try to run gslimp3:

Michael,
This seems to half work. The http port entry accepts my non-standard
value and then and I get the small sized artwork in the Music view.
However in the Status view, where there should be the larger image, I
still get the question mark graphic.
Looking at the console window from
This seems to half work.
Maybe because I'm a half wit :-) As I said before: everything was already
there, but I still did not use it...
In the beginning I created all this stuff, because I knew I would need it
some day. Then I encountered a problem with the registry access in Ewe
1.49
The http port entry accepts my non-standard
BTW: I'll remove that value all together. Once I've got the correct IP and
CLI port, I can get the http port from the server by a CLI call. One
option less to care about.

Still no luck, and the results below seem identical to what I saw
previously.
Code:
2006-03-24 07:32:36.2665 TrackStat: initialising
2006-03-24 07:32:36.2668 TrackStat: Hook activated.
2006-03-24 07:32:36.2669 TrackStat::Storage: Checking if database table exists
This is really strange, it looks like it makes the call to MusicMagic
but never get any answer.
Approximately how many songs do you have in MusicMagic ?
Do you get an answer in the web browser when you goto the following url
?
http://localhost:10002/api/songs?extended
If so, how long does it
I have seen the same problem playing mp3 podcasts through Softsqueeze, I
think I even raised a bug for it.

I am happily listening to Radio 3 as I type this.
Thanks for this plug-in. I used the experimental self-installer for
Win 6.2x, ran it, and it worked perfectly.
I hadn't been able to get the prior version to work, but hadn't yet
taken the time to do the debugging that would have been helpful

Can you try the version attached to this post. I have made some small
changes regarding the calls to MusicMagic, I have no idea if it works
any better for you but its worth a try.
Also if it does not

There is a new version of TrackStat available that solves the issues
with Music Magic import for large music collections. There is no other
changes in this release besides correcting this problem. The new
version is available at my 'download page'
(http://erland.homeip.net/download) as usual.

I have a wonderful, greatly improved AlienBBC instantly.
I can't thank all the guys who work(ed) on the wonderful plugin enough.
For me, AlienBBC alone
