Do cover art files work in SlimRemote?
Hello,
Many times I want an alarm to last longer than 90 minutes (the current
max setting for an alarm's duration). This is usually the case when I
want my music to come on in the evening at a very low volume in the
bedroom to act as an automatic sleep timer.
I've made the appropriate minor
It does. Thanks very much.

Again, thanx for getting back to me Michael.
Yes, internet connection was open, when trying to retrieve Biography
info.
I went into the SlimServer's Cache folder, but no Peter Gabriel.html

Reset cache and tried again, still no Peter Gabriel.html file.

Internet connection is a lowly phone line.
Perhaps my internet speed is not up to snuff and times out.
Any other suggestions?
I'm afraid I'm somewhat lost :-(. Internet speed might be a problem,
though I don't understand why you don't even get a file in the cache

Now this is weird. If I access XM from Slimserver, the server crashes.
But if I launch XM from the SB3 connecting to the same slimserver, it
works fine.
So it is workingbut there seems to be a problem with the link on

Do you want to create a new sub menu and then add entries from slim

If so create a new menu:
New Entry - add menu name [Add]
Either click on the new name or on the next link to go into that sub
menu.
Then New Entry, and select the entry from Slim Picks you want to add.

In the New Entry dialogue you can add either
(i) a new menu level
(ii)a new entry station station Name URL
(iii) A entry which refers to an external OPML file.
(iv) An entry (menu or station) from the Slim directory.
Choose the first field and it enables you to add a new menu level.

I put a similar post on the mplayer user mail list but so far no
answer.
You could build your own version of Mplayer - this is how there is a
useful version of Mplayer for AlienBBC.

I like to listen to the same BBC radio listen again shows (e.g.

This should work, I have R1 to 5 setup as favourites and use them quite
regularly. Which version to AlienBBC and SlimServer are you using?
Neil
Sorry just read your signature, it might be work trying a later version
of AlienBBC but I think this has always worked. The current version is
v1.04.
I think there is some odd behaviour here. I started to write a reply to
detail the issue and noticed that when I added the second new title I
then could select 'next' on a title, the first one doesn't display it.

The editor only traverses this the opml file being edited. So if you
add a link to an external OPML list then you can edit it, deleted it or
move it, but can't change into it. If however you add another menu in
this opml file then you can change into it.
Does that make sense? Any suggestions
You can't add to favorites from within Alien menus (as we haven't added
any support for that). However when a stream is playing you can go to
Now Playing and then add it to a favorite by pressing right arrow.

Hi Neil
I just upgraded to 1.04 and it doesnt seem to make any difference - but
I still cant add to my favourites from any AlienBBC menu.
I just checked that I can still add to my favourites from music menus
without any problems - so I'm sure the favourites function works ok.
Steve
Thanks a million Triode. That worked a treat, It's obviously just a
question of knowing how!
Thanks

More (but still not enough).
The major problem remains that the AlienBBC developers don't have
access to a Mac.
I'm not a developer (though I have done a few bits of debugging, moving
mplayer around, etc), just a satisfied user of AlienBBC, trying to share
the benefit of my experience. But it
