Can you clarify -
What player are you using ?
What version of SS and AlienBBC ?
No internet radio will work at all - does that includes non-AlienBBC
stations such as those in SlimPicks ?
Do you see AlienBBC in the menus ?
Do you see BBC stations ?
You can select a station but does it connect ?

I have been using squeezebox for a while now and everything has been
fine - a great product
Today I thought I would install the BBC plugin but when playing listen

Yes I am using Windows SP2 and live broadcasts are fine. Been listening
to a local station from the otherside of the country for about 15

I haven't run any utility which changes any of the settings

There may be something odd going on at the BBC.
I have been having similar symptoms today with AlienBBC, Mac OS 10.4.8,

included a program in Radio 2 and, I think, one in Radio 4.

the user has tweaked a setting or has a satellite internet link.
There is a fix to this problem - you could try it and see if it helps.
The fix is edit the Plugins/Alien/custom-convert.conf file with Wordpad
(not Notepad) and
Sadly this does not work for me, have no clue what is wrong...

What happens is the following:
- Squeezebox MSN can connect
Ok *slight* misunderstanding.
recap -
AlienBBC +Slimserver 6.51(with unpatched socketwrapper 48KB) fails
AlienBBC + Slimserver 6.51 (with 20/02/06 socketwrapper 76KB) works
I have double checked and no AV, Anti-Spy,Firewall has marked any of
the Slimserver components as restricted in any way.
Thanks!
That seems to have sorted it :-)

help other users with this problem.
