The software hasn't been tested with 6.5.1 as 6.5.1 is not a public
release yet. It works happily with 6.5.0, and I'll test it with 6.5.1
when it's released. I can't think why it wouldn't work, unless the slim
developers have nobbled the API in some way?

Works for me! Thanks bunches for taking the time to get this plugin

John C, cheers for testing this. I use this quite a lot for turning off
the server etc before I go out.
This should be fine for Win/Linux users, but I'll have a dig around on
the apple forums to see if I can find a non-user specific way of
putting an iMac to sleep..
All I need to do now is
Hi, I'm new and before buing a Squeezebox I have a question:
I plan on buying a Squeezebox and a Mac Mini (for watching and
recording TV, playing DVDs, video files and CDs). Is there a plugin (or
some other way) for the SB to be used as a CD/DVD player display
(ideally even TV tuner display)?
It worked for me on 6.5.1. You may have to put in the server IP (if on
the same PC, use 127.0.0.1).
However, I think the variables used for the software needs to be
tweaked. Yes, it does display the title if playing a local file, but
not the song that is currently playing if using a stream such
I'd love to have this work for me, but I can't get the plugin to show up
in the web interface or the menus. I'm running it on a debianized
LinkStation. The plugin is in the slimserver Plugin directory, owned by
root:slimserver (like my other plugins). I've put user 'slimserver' in
sudoers, etc.
Unfortunately I don't have access to the Now Playing variable. I query
the interface by logging in on the port and invoking:
artist ?
title ?
album ?
power ?
status ?
etc. Unfortunately when listening to radio the Slim software doesn't
set these values correctly. At least, not in 6.5.0.
