it was the iTunes Party Shuffle that provides playlists through the
Dynamic Playlist pugin and not the LastFM plugin.
And it works very well, thanks Erland.
Mind you I do have one small issue with it, and it's that the Dynamic
Playlist plugin gets the list of playlists from the plugins using
It's all case-sensitive e.g.
File Plugins/LastFM/Plugin.pm
Contains the line:

Hope that helps...

If I rename the plugin.pm file to the name given in the package line,

Slim server 6.5.
The filename is Plugins\xPLUI\xPLUI.pm and the package name is
Plugins::xPLUI::Plugin;
This arrangement doesn't appear to load from what I can see with the

Thanks,

Your filename should be Plugin.pm then.

OK. Do you know of a way to check if the headless app sees things right

Hi,
I rebooted my system, that was the only way. Now I see it.
The buffer fullness shows up, but it does not refresh, so that it
basically shows 0% when it is playing. If I scroll down one song, it
shows 100%, and then back to the song playing it will show 100%.

fix it.
Thanks!

Correct, I forgot to add it there because the current development version
doesn't need the whitelist any more. I'll update a fix later today. Thanks
for the pointer, I'll have a look at the other issues as well.

That's fixed.

OK, good to know, that was the case. I've build a 'portable music box',
and just moved it from one room to another, without re-plugging to the

But there was absolutely no error message.

BTW, it occurred to me that a great plugin would be a Network Health

How it would work is like this:
It would use the little vertical bars that represent the mini spectrum

bpa, I had RTE Radio 1 working on my old Slimserver 6.2.2 using the

it this station working again.
I installed the new AlienRTEMenu.pm as you suggested in this thread but
I am still only getting silence. The other RTE streams
RTE1 no longer uses SIPR and so no longer need the sipr3260.dll - this
was the old codec. RTE1 now uses COOK (RealAudio 8) which is the same
as BBC and RTE2. No additional codecs required.
If you are using AlienBBC 1.06 and you have replace the AlienRTEMenu.pm
file and you still cant get RTE1
I checked the file in the AlienAddon directory and it does contain both
the lines you mentioned. I did restart the server after copying the
file. Attaching the debug info.

bpa, I had renamed the old file and then copied the new one into the
