I too enjoyed having the keyboard in the TOUCH interface on server6.3.1
but I like the rest of the Touch interface more than I miss the
keyboard. But I would recommend being able to show a keyboard in the
interface settings. I have handwriting recognition installed and also
use the Windows pop-up
Thanx erland,
I've seen that post also, but it is kinda vague... (at least on how I
could adapt this to linux)
I guess to start multiple sessions of softsqueeze, one would just
envoke a command line that would start softsqueeze with a different
sound output for each device...
I was hoping for
Softsqueeze plays flac. Other players use mp3 stream.
If you don't use flac, Fireflymediaserver and iTunes is a much better
solution for streaming to a pc.

So, I've installed Superdatetime on my Slimserver, running on Mac OSX,
and I've done all the things in the list on the set-up page, but
despite that my SB3 is still showing the old date/time screensaver when
off. Now what's the simple thing staring me in the face that I should
have done?

Do you mean to say that other players can't recieve streamed flac?
Because as for playing flac, there are players
I've recently noticed that some of my tracks were not submitted to
Last.fm. Tracks longer than 30 minutes. Here's what I get when I enable
the plugins logs:

Scrobbler: Genres: No Genre
Scrobbler: ==Track.new
It is deliberate, although I don't know if LastFM still require this.

As for your second point, I don't think I need a different solution so
stream the audio. How are FireFly and iTunes superior to

It looks like you had Shuffle by Song set on that player before
loading the playlist. Try stopping playback, clearing the playlist,
turning Shuffle off, and then loading the playlist again?
Well spotted, yeah that fixed it! :)

I have a weird one. Both these plugins worked fine before I went on
vacation for a week. I shut all my computers/servers down before I left.
When I got back, I had a new IP address, first new one in a couple years,
and now neither plugin will work.
I don't think it's a plugin problem, but I

Apparently not:

Any chance of getting the old one back but with the enhancements to the

Ben, the author of the Nokia 770 and new Touch skins, has lots of
improvements lined up for SlimServer 7.0. Have a look here:
I'm trying to access my Slimserver at home from work and not having any
luck.
Here's my setup;
At home:

- Slimserver 6.5.1 (ports 3483 9000).
- Router setup to allow traffic on ports 22, 3483, 9000.
- Dynamic IP address. I have setup dyndns.org to forward to my IP at
I'm sure you'll all be relieved to know I did spot the thing that was
staring me in the face. Just in case anyone else is as stupid as I am,
I'll tell you what I did. In the Player Settings, I set the
Screensavers 'Choose a screensaver to use when powered off' as Date And
Time Screensaver. Well,
Hi,
I'm having a problem with the Sirius Plugin that I hope someone here
can help me solve.
1. I get a message that reads, Error: Maximium Daily Logins Reached.
This happened both with the plugin and when I tried to access the
Sirius content directly from the Sirius webpage.
2. Sirius
Might be a lame question given the excellent support I've received in
the past but is there any reason these wouldn't work with my old SB1? I
would think they should work just fine!

Hi,
Oddly enough, I turned on one of the debug flags on Softsqueeze an
discovered that it was attempting to connect with an address that was
completely different from the one named in the Networking panel of the
Preferences. There was a choice of two names-each relating to a
slimserver device on

you'll see there's been no lack of input
