It's nice to see that someone finally implements a fat client that can
be used on Linux. I've thought about doing this myself a few times, but
I never got enough inspiration to actually do it.
I've tried it briefly and found a few small problems:
- Changing players seem to require a restart to
I had to reinstall squeezecenter due to problems with my hard disks and
I've also reinstalled TrackStat, CustomBrowse and MusicInfoSCR.
However, although I've restored my old Trackstat backup xml file, it
does not show ratings, not in softsqueeze, Duet or web interface. The
ratings do show up
I think I'm seeing something similar - some of my track have different
playcounts in iTunes and SqueezeCenter.
Wiping the library and re-importing doesn't fix the incorrect
playcounts.

Kudos Dr.Lovegrove! Another wonderful update.
Quick bug(?): For some reason track ratings don't show up/update as
expected for me if I'm playing a dynamic playlist from the server tree.
Also... UI suggestion: What would you think about making the Library |

OK, I'm not sure exactly when I'll post a new version, but to fix the
bug mentioned by bebop above and make the plugin 7.3 compatible, edit

Gharris999, all,
Did you notice the nice progress on alarms for SB2/SB3 recently ? With
SB firmware 113 there is now a backup alarm (a buzzer sound) that
replaces the alarm sound if it is not available. The thing seems clever
enough to fire off when a file is not available (e.g. local

Oops, I ran into authentication problems in the meantime with 7.2.1, so
I upgraded both SC and AlienBBC. Behavior with RA files hasn't changed
a bit and AlienBBC works fine with the BBC radio shows. I should have
mentioned it, I'm sorry.
If I may, does the error log tell us anything worthwhile?

It does - it says that conf files are set up asa I requested.
The input to mplayer (i.e. $FILE$) becomes - which may be causing a
problem but it works on my Linux system so I need to double check my
conf files but can't do this at

This is a great plugin.
A few things:
Is there anyway to stream wav instead of flac? My SC machine is pretty
lean and hope this would reduce cpu cycles.
Playback of the now playing list stops after each track when using
squeezeslave. Need to skip tohear the next track.
