Used to be able to - not any more.
I've two SB3s - both can connect to Slimserver (6.5.4) and to Squeeze
network.
I can get Internet radio via Squeeze Network. But not Alien BBC via the
plugin.
Settings ;
Alien BBC v 1.06
Both SB3s have identical settings regarding IP addresses for DNS,
AlienBBC is dead - the BBC stops using RealAudio at the end of March.
For live Radio Use the BBC WMA streams as noted here

Ok, so I have got some of my filters working on headless linux, but only
by copying across the default.m3lib file to a Windows setup, creating
the filters, then moving the default.m3lib back to the Linux headless
setup. The filters do seem to be stored in the library file, not in any
seperate

1) you have set up a music folder for SBS that contains nothing but two
shortcuts, one to E:\ and one to F:\.
2) a full rescan in SBS picks up ALL music from both drives
3) nothing is marked as mixable

just listening to live streams in which case just play the WMA streams.

How do I access WMA streams ?
I've tried posting the relevant URLs in the Tune IN box - I get a
station added to the Playlist but can't play anything. I also assume you
can only post in one at a time - when I tried a second it just replaced
the first.
And how are these accessed through an SB3 ?
Copy the URL from the list I posted and add it to Favorites. I've
forgotten what other facilities are on 6.5 (I think MyRadio was 7.x).

This looks interesting, but there are now 26 pages in the thread and
post 1 only has 0.5 of the app attached, but says everything pre post
158 (which announces 1.0) is obsolete. So how does one start with this?
Where is the latest version of the code for a start?

Thanks for your detailed explanation.
I did most of what you said.
To answer your questions:
1. the vortexbox is running on Atom 330 with 2Gb ram.
2. the album is embedded in the file (I used apple lossless) plus a
separate cover.jpg in each album directory
3. the original size of the
different graphics libraries between Linux and Windows, I suppose.
