Nevermind, i finally managed to upgrade to 7.8.1, and now it works
flawlessly!
You didn't have to do anything but update from 7.7.2 to 7.8.1? Hmm...
7.7.x should be good enough.

The built-in radio app uses Tunein which uses mp3 (previously it was
aac)

Oh dear. Now I'm getting the recorded message about the streams not
being available using the LMS iPlayer plug-in on 6 Music. It was fine
this morning. I hope the plug-ins can be tweaked to restore the
streams!

It's a BBC issue. They're making multiple changes almost but not quite
at the same time. It doesn't seem to be such a problem for the likes of
TuneIn that are happy to broadcast MP3, but for those that want AAC it's
very trying.
Hi, this thread is also running in Squeezebox Radio.
Does anyone know if it's plugin issue or BBC issue?
Thanks...

I experienced the problem for the first time today.
It seems that some BBC radio stations are only accessible from the
plugin in WMA (and no longer work) whereas others are in AAC are work

I am in the UK and use BT Infinity
iPlayer 1.2.14

OK. I managed to contact a guy at the BBC (Jim Simmons) in charge of
audio delivery asking about the problem with several AAC streams going
quiet on Triode's BBC applet. Apparently the AAC streams were delivered
via the same infrastructure as the WMA ones so they are going to be
discontinued also.
Does it matter that i'm on LMS 7.7.2 r33893?

Not been round these parts for a long time so haven't kept up. I've
been using the BBC Applet and when that stopped working the other day I
found my way to Triode's plugin. Installed that last night and was
playing nicely. Today, 9th Feb, I get home after work and I can't play

Odd, I'm in the UK and all seem to be WMA, and annoying chap.
I have my preferences set to AAC too on version 1.2.14

All of my music files were ripped with dbpoweramp. I do not know how the
output got changed from Flac to MP3. It must have only been for a short
while as there are very few MP3s in my library.

To be fair, it probably is boring for him reading that script over and
over again. But it sounds like you're landing where the BBC's wma
streams used to be. My

Love using iPeng on iPad for a long time, but just recently noticed that
start-up performance has become quite slow. It's not the end of the
world, but it takes several seconds for the full screen to be completely
displayed, and particularly the left-hand menu - it used to be almost
instantaneous

Are you trying to listen to the WMA codec streams? If so, the BBC have
switched them off, and you need to specify AAC
