with some Hip Hop but then inevitably drifts towards RB and after a

Hmm... are you using 7.9 with the nomysqueezebox startup parameter? If
so, which version of the SmartMix plugin are you using?
I think you should be able to work around this issue by choosing your
country in the SmartMix
Just updated SB Player (1.2.7). I was able to tweak the DSD conversion
and got it usable on the Nexus 7 (2013) and the Nexus 5 (as long as it
doesn't get too hot).

all of these I see in variations all over your log file. Just looking at
the filenames, as I obviously don't see the real tags. But often they
would correlate:
