I had some Problems with skipping the last seconds in Deezer and I'm
going to try Spotify again. I can't find the spotty Plugin. Is there a
repository I have to add? I'm using LMS 7.9 1488878280 on a Raspberry Pi
3.

Thanks for the suggestion, Michael. I've just installed 7.9.1, but when

Thanks everybody for the extensive testing! I decided Spotty was looking
good enough to be released as 1.0.0. Please continue discussion in the

I'm happy to announce Spotty, my next generation Spotify implementation
for Squeezebox. Spotty has no dependency on mysqueezebox.com, nor player
firmware, and supports all types of players. It is using the open-source
librespot library (https://github.com/plietar/librespot) instead of the

Could you please try the latest 7.9.1 nightly build? There have been
some changes in how SSL connections (and in particular connection
failures) are being handled. Might be worth a try.

Thanks, Michael. I've followed the instructions, and installed Spotty
(and removed the old plugins as per instructions). I had to add my
Spotify login details manually, as I couldn't get the automated process
to work.
Tonight, i note also issues with old albums. Nothing works. Mp3 or Flac
I will post log on your dropbox.

People might be interested to know that I'll be bringing HabTunes LMS
voice control to Google Home soon.
Want to get the functionality finalised on Echo first and we're almost
ready to move to Beta. Once I get that into Amazon certification, I'll
start building out the Google app.
Forget about the current solutions and switch over to Spotty.

Good. And that suggests my issue isn't a result of Spotify changing
their API. But that still leaves me floundering for ideas about how to
restore my set up to its usual full working order.
I'd be really grateful for
My hack was on the Raspberry Pi implantation of Google Home. I don't
think the same approach would work with a real Google Home because, I
presume, it needs a hosted service.
Peter Mee's Amazon Echo implementation is probably a good starting
point.

Very interested!
Got my Google Home today - an amazing box and am very impressed with the
possibilities.
Controlling my LMS with it would be a huge boon and significantly
cheaper in the long run than subscribing to Google Home Music...
I was using the Spotify app this morning (it normally works flawlessly),
and found it was failing to connect to my playlists. I went to the LMS
Web Interface, and this was extremely sluggish, failing to load pages
properly. After a lot of fruitless investigation, I decided to upgrade
LMS to the
OK, thanks. It sounds like everything is working as expected then, with
the exception that I did not manage to authenticate via my phone.
Brilliant! Thanks Michael!

Thanks Michael.
I am using the Odroid as a server.
I went ahead and have had some success. The basic installation steps
seemed to work without issue and Spotty is showing up in My Apps. I
wasn't able to authenticate via my Spotify app on my Android phone. It
wasn't showing any devices at all

Hi guys,
Sorry about the late response. I was off work a little while, but back
now :)

Thanks for the detailed feedback. Bluetooth is a fickle thing, we have
also had some issues in the past that vary widely depending on the
device. If possible, you could try using DLNA (LMS

Go ahead.
Hi,
I'm a long time SB user but completely new to Spotify, having just
succumbed to my kids' pleading and signed up to a family account.
Now that I am paying for it, I would like to see if I can get it working
with my SB system. There seems to be more than one way to do this and to
be honest I
