thanks a lot for your efforts (also looking into the Essentia plugin)! I
tried to install the LMSmusly stuff, first on my desktop computer for
database analysis. It's an x86_64 machine running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, AVX
is available in the CPU, python3.5 installed. I put libmusly files
Vortexbox 2.2 is a great music server but does leave you with just a
command line prompt with root privilege to resolve any missing
elements.
I think you'll have to update to VB 2.3. I'm no expert though, never
used this system. You better ask in a VB related thread.

Have you tried entering your credentials manually, rather than rely on
Spotty to show up in your Spotify client?
Is your DS a 414 without suffix (j or + or whatever)?

Long time Spotty user [and donator :) ] here - just started using the
Spotify Connect interface rather than the LMS Web interface.

The plugin does indeed check for the service (every 60s). Could you set
logging

vmware
LMS is updated to version 7.9.0 SBT is version 7.8.0 r16754
I guess you're missing the IO::Socket::SSL. Please check your server.log
file.
