I succsefully downgraded PERL (Perl-armada38x-5.24.0-0074.spk), and got
my LMS (7.9.1) running again .. Sort of:
I can see the interface and it will play streaming services like
Spotify, but when I try to play music from my library, nothing happens
(it shows 1 or 2 seconds, then stops). I have

Sorry to interfere, but it works for me.
QLMS on a QNAP (intel), LMS 8.0.1, Spotty 4.5.4
There have been a couple of failures (*), due to the changes Michael had
introduced in the Spotty
I searched high and low in this thread and elsewhere but could not find
a definitive answer so would like to report that the Airplay Bridge
plugin is working perfectly well (so far) with a Sonos Beam soundbar I
recently picked up. I haven't tinkered much with the bridge settings but
it does seem

When it comes to the DAC selection screen, use the selections below.
This kind of threw me in for a loop because it asks about an i2s DAC
which I do not have.
- Select i2sS DAC
- Select Allo DigiOne (pi2AES does not have a profile
What is the current situation regarding volume normalisation? I see
You tell me... As I don't use it myself (I only use the LMS global
online source adjustment), I don't really know what is working and what
is not.
normalisation-method basic
has been removed from custom-convert.conf, does

I've added download support for Material APK 0.2.0 release (this will be
the *next* release). Currently it
Bug-fix release, main changes:
- Re-add podcast searching, will be removed once LMS8.2 is released.
- Fix adding (LMS 8.2) podcast feed to favourites.
- Add 'More' menu to playlists and years.

What is the current situation regarding volume normalisation? I see
normalisation-method basic
has been removed from custom-convert.conf, does that mean normalisation
is supposed to be using "dynamic" normalisation now?
Unfortunately it still isn't working anyway. Is there a way to debug
If so, what did you set your "Audio output device settings" to?
I cannot find this PI2AES Hat in the list of devices.

I know this may have already been discussed, I can't recall and the
thread is very long, but is there enough control in WIndows Universal
apps to make the taskbar icon a progress bar for the current track or
something - I have other apps, but not UWP things - that do this, like:

You could test though by temporarily disconnecting your broadband
(apparently life continues in this situation) ... then play a few songs
... then shutdown LMS and reboot the LMS server ... ... then play a
few more songs on LMS ... then bring the broadband back.

I think it queues them to disk and keeps trying until it manages to
connect - but not 100% certain.

However, take care ... I found from bitter experience that last.fm
I'm thinking of buying a Raspberry Pi to setup in combination with a USB
hard drive as a portable LMS. In situations where I won't have Wi-fi
available, does the Last.fm plugin queue up Scrobbles to send out when
Wi-fi is next available, or will it simply fail to Scrobble any tracks
