Sadly, the wonderful BBC iPlayer (Radio) is no more - links/web searches
now point you towards BBC Sounds.
The announcement is

So, RIP iPlayer. bpa's efforts gave me years of delight - a
I'd like to add my huge thanks for this new plugin, which really does
fill in some of the BBC gaps.
I can't pretend to be a fan of Sounds. iPlayer is perfect - far and away
the best thing the BBC ever created - but this plugin will give me
immense pleasure by providing access to the long list

We're about to go off on a four week dive trip, so I'm profoundly
grateful for that 30 day option. Works a treat and so very useful.
Thanks!

Thanks guys for the very speedy response. Life without iPlayer on my

Unless my ears have been playing tricks, the Jazz FM (UK) Audio On
Demand stream via 'Internet Radio' has been heavily degraded
(compressed) recently. The station outputs some excellent programmes
including the three hour 'Dinner Jazz'. Anyone know how to access a high
quality stream?
Neil
bpa - as ever, you identify the solution. Problem solved elegantly -
thanks!

, they offer two options to stream to your PC - the old Real
Player link works but not the MP3 link, so the system may well be broke
at NPR.
How would one link to the Real Audio feed instead?

Probably the most valuable plugin I've ever installed - the difference
in sound quality is incredible. Pity that access only available to UK.

to the broadcaster, hence the ban. There might be work arounds,
but using proxy servers [in my experience] generates quality and other
service issues.

To clarify, all I can see is that in EXTRAS you check the box against
SETUP_SCREENSAVER_USE.

Greg, I must be dim - where/what do you configure at the Player level
[SC 7.3]?

I can see the content but not hear it. The Alien BBC output appears to
be in a Real Audio format - eg
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/aod/playlists/yv/2q/f0/0b/RadioBridge_uk_1415_bbc_radio_fourfm.ram
. Any thoughts?

Should have said that I added the above fix - SqueezeCenter 7.3 is
showing this as an unsupported file type.

NO BBC streams are working via Alien - even the live feeds.
Will run the test.

The Alien BBC plugin is clearly working, because I can select and play
non-BBC streamsbut if I choose a BBC stream I get a 'cannot connect
to server' error message.
Is this a DRM issue?
