I'm thinking about trying this out.
Is this part of the latest release (AlienBBC v2.01 Beta1 for Windows
and SqueezeCenter 7.1), and if not, is it compatible with that
release?
The only file that the patch changes is RTSP.pm - the rest are extra
files? If I change that file and a new version
It's not compatible with 2.01 as RTSP.pm file was modified in 2.01. I
need to supply an update for the 2.01.

Re. my difficulty downloading the 'BBCLivePlus.zip' (no. 2 in the above
thread), can confirm that I had been using IExplorer. Downloaded again
using FireFox, and followed the instructions. The Plug-in works great!

The Linux version should work in OSX as there is no OS specific code.
All the files belong in the Plugins/Alien directory tree - I just don't
know where Plugins are saved on OSX.

If on windows you may have to use Wordpad to edit the opml file.
The BBC source of station id came from the URLs associated with each
station on this page
http://www.bbc.co.uk/whatson/services.shtml
I already summarised them for the Infobrowser BBC What's On addon.

This is an unoffical mod. Beta - please test and comment.
The mod displays the current and Next program info and also while
playing changes the Alien icon to the BBC station logo. In code terms
- only one file of standard AlienBBC is changed - RTSP.pm.
The Live streams with added info are
FYI downloaded BBCLiveplus.zip twice, and each time got the error
message saying The compressed (zipped) Folder is invalid or corrupted
at the momemt of starting to extract the zip. Bug? Regards = John

This usually happens if using IE. If using IE - simple answer - use
Firefox. Alternatively if you can persuade IE just to download and
save it (i.e. not open) - then rename the file to a zip extension but
make sure extension are visible.

download the zip file and recompress it again in GZIP format. A format
for which MS has not provided a decoder !!

information? I see it's on the BBC's own listen live displays in
their webpages, but only for
Only Radio 1 provides track info and that is part of a Flash player and
not easy to access.
Other more detailed What's On BBC information can be got using the
Info Browser by installing the Info browser addons. Radio 3 provides
good program listing.
