Well, spotify is the only streaming service I use so no. But everything
works perfectly well with content from my own library.

I seem to have the same problem.
In the SBS web ui it works fine, but on my controller i get the
spinning wheel and nothing happens.

I guess I never released 2.9.1... I fixed this
When I open the track details for a Spotify track I can select
"Biography" if I have the biography plugin installed.
However, it doesn't seem to work, it only outputs the following in the
server log:
