As a start it would probably be a good idea if someone that is
interested in this integrated sent them a question and asked if they
have any plan to integrate SimplifyMedia with the Squeezebox products.

It is probably possible, but since they don't provide any information of
the streaming protocol used it's very hard.
So I think the best chance would be to tell SimplifyMedia that it would
be a good idea if they made a SlimServer plugin, since this would make
their solution available to all
