Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.8.x - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox

2019-10-02 Thread slartibartfast

I have just noticed that I cannot play any Albums in my Spotify library
on any devices using Spotify Connect. When I say any devices I include
Amazon Echo devices. If I search for the same albums in Spotify they
play correctly. This does not seem to be an issue with Spotty but with
the Spotify app on Android. I have not tried using Spotify on a PC yet
but wondered if anyone else is seeing the same thing.

I have hit a similar problem on my Windows 10 machine when I updated to
Spotty 2.8.6

When I updated the plugin I had evidently left a large Spotify playlist
in one of my Duets, and the CMD prompt windows just continued until LMS
crashed.

Clearing out the cached player playlists in
-C:\ProgramData\Squeezebox\prefs- enabled things to run again smoothly,
but now if I try to play a saved local playlist that contain Spotify
tracks, the continuous CMD prompts appear and I have to repeat the
process of clearing the cached playlist to be able to get things running
again.

This is what I see in the server.log before LMS falls over.

[19-10-02 10:53:48.1397] Plugins::Spotty::API::__ANON__ (1363) error:

I've tried rebuilding one of my playlists from scratch (ie. finding the
same tracks and albums through the Spotty interface, saving a new local
playlist) and that seems to play okay - but any playlists created prior
to 2.8.6 causes the same CMD prompt overload.

Sorry guys, I still have to delete that line. It doesn't do anything.
It's still a leftover from the LmsRepack days. Back then, LmsRepack
would show up in your package manager. With the official Synology LMS
package already in the Package manager, this doesn't work for LmsUpdate,
unfortunately.

When I say it works fine, I meant the usual minor issues or annoyances.
I would like to get this working more reliably. Currently I have LMS
disabled because of the continuous command prompt window popups. I
noticed some others had some token issues as well on windows.

I did check the firewall and nothing is blocked, in fact the firewall is
turned off completely. On further inspection, I noticed that even when
not in "Spotify Connect" mode that everything that I do within Spotty
through the web browser UI (browsing and finding something to play) pops
up a command prompt window over my web page which quickly goes away.
This is certainly new behavior. It seemed to only do this before when I
actually starting the LMS server and now it does it for everything.

I would appreciate any help determining what is causing this and what we
can do to fix it?

Thanks for the reply. I will try to capture a video of this happening,
but as far as I can tell there is no text visible in the command prompts

There is a player setting to adjust the volume of remote streams and
this used to allow me to reduce the volume of radio stations and
Spotify to a level close to that of local music with Replaygain applied.
Recently Spotify seems to have become a lot louder and I found that
Spotify is no longer affected by this setting which makes it practically
impossible to use Spotty with Don't Stop The Music. Have Spotify changed
something?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] 'MediaServer' *certified* Alexa skill for LMS

A question.

What’s the logic for partial matches?
I have the following variants of DSOTM

(1994 Remaster)
(1992 Shine On Box Set)
(2011 Remaster)
(Live at Wembley)
(Vinyl)

If I ask Alexa to play album The Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd she
chooses the (Vinyl) version.
Is it due to being the closest match by number of characters?

Since the last update, it now takes a long time to load the playlists

Glad to hear you found it easy so far. I'm in the process of looking
into favourites and also spotify or other cloud sources. I don't use
them myself so that's why they were not in v1.0.
There will likely be an update tomorrow with relaxed player names and
better matching of numbers and numerals in track/album/artist names. I
deemed that a higher priority.

Yep - spot on. The matched array is sorted to pick the shortest/closest
match to the utterance. You can of course ask for one of the other
versions in your command. A partial qualifier would be sufficient, so
e.g. vinyl, or remaster of wembley or shine on should be enough to go
on. Try !

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Squeezelite-X

2019-10-02 Thread rgdawson

Just submitted 2.4.16. (There was no 2.4.15)

Changes:

- WMA Support. Some time ago I inadvertently began including a
version of squeezelite-win that did not include the WMA decoder. I
never noticed because I rarely play WMA files and when I do, it works
because my server runs on Windows. Anyway, SLX 2.4.16 includes
squeezelite-win 1.9.3-1178, which include the WMA decoder.
