Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.8.x - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox
I have just noticed that I cannot play any Albums in my Spotify library on any devices using Spotify Connect. When I say any devices I include Amazon Echo devices. If I search for the same albums in Spotify they play correctly. This does not seem to be an issue with Spotty but with the Spotify app on Android. I have not tried using Spotify on a PC yet but wondered if anyone else is seeing the same thing. Clearing out the cached player playlists in -C:\ProgramData\Squeezebox\prefs- enabled things to run again smoothly, but now if I try to play a saved local playlist that contain Spotify tracks, the continuous CMD prompts appear and I have to repeat the process of clearing the cached playlist to be able to get things running again. This is what I see in the server.log before LMS falls over. Thanks for creating this. I have just set up a NUC that will run Windows with a screen mostly off. I would like to get this working more reliably. Currently I have LMS disabled because of the continuous command prompt window popups. I noticed some others had some token issues as well on windows. I did check the firewall and nothing is blocked, in fact the firewall is turned off completely. On further inspection, I noticed that even when not in "Spotify Connect" mode that everything that I do within Spotty through the web browser UI (browsing and finding something to play) pops up a command prompt window over my web page which quickly goes away. This is certainly new behavior. It seemed to only do this before when I actually starting the LMS server and now it does it for everything. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.8.x - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox
There is a player setting to adjust the volume of remote streams and this used to allow me to reduce the volume of radio stations and Spotify to a level close to that of local music with Replaygain applied. Recently Spotify seems to have become a lot louder and I found that Spotify is no longer affected by this setting which makes it practically impossible to use Spotty with Don't Stop The Music. Since the last update, it now takes a long time to load the playlists list or any individual playlist. It takes a really long time to load a long-ish playlist. Like over a minute if the playlist has ~100 songs. Yep - spot on. The matched array is sorted to pick the shortest/closest match to the utterance. You can of course ask for one of the other versions in your command. A partial qualifier would be sufficient, so e.g. vinyl, or remaster of wembley or shine on should be enough to go on.
