This skill directs LMS what to do. Think of it as being like clicking
around within the Material skin, but using your voice instead of mouse.
When playing Spotify through a Squeezebox, LMS is just passing the audio
stream through that it gets from Spotify. What can you do in the skin to

emanating from the Echo stops the moment you say Alexa to let you
complete a command in peace :) This will require recertification though

This works, but I found that it does not repeat. If a user were to keep
his finger on the selected button, (or the mouse button depressed,)
would it make sense to continue moving in 30 seconds increments every
few seconds or so, until the button is released?

Hi, will it be possible to launch spotty by Michael Herger on my LMS and

Probably the easiest way is to try it out is to run ngrok

I just found some issues with displaying embedded lyrics today - since
this is not a daily feature I use, I cannot say at which version it was
introduced...
Displaying the embedded lyrics of song by "Context menu - more -

Its all available
Could contrive something that would not work with central Alexa plus
distributed Squeezeboxes ...
Ask Media Server to play The Beatles from Spotify in daughters bedroom
Easy solution, of course, would be to put an Alexa device in that
bedroom but that might not be a wanted approach.

No problems with .24 or .25 here. But my LMS is always running on a
dedicated server, and I only start SLX manually, never in the background
or minimized.

Hi Greg,
I've found a couple of issues with the most recent versions of
SqueezeLite-X on my system.
v2.4.24.0
The recent application speedup seems to have caused issues with how
SqueezeLite-X synchronises with LMS. SqueezeLite-X now starts too
quickly - it starts before LMS and causes LMS not

Hi Philchillbill,
when I want to play Songs from Spotify on my LMS I have to open the
Spotty Plugin and search for the Music.
I think if I tell MediaServer to Play any Song it would only search on
the local LMS Database and will not be able to start the LMS Plugin
Spotty.
I this make sense :-)
Hi All
Just want to announce a bit a older project but tested now for several
months and still workin stable. It allows you to integrate your LMS
Library into your sonos app and stream it as it was a third party
service e.g. spotify.

Have fun

I wonder what that would look like in JSON commands? In 'normal' LMS
control, you can query the library by string-search or IDs and request
building a playlist accordingly. Is that functionality
exposed/extended/embraced by Spotty in some way?
Spotty doesn't expose generic commands to search

I am sorry for not being precise: As you suggested before: I disabled
the option: "only show local devices"
If I understand, this would allow simple circumvention of Sonos' track
limit? Woo-hoo!! Friends with Sonos for simplicity can now use all my
music in one simple place!...I'll still never leave LMS and SB

It seems from what I read on the setup page, that the commands are
geared for Linux platforms. Is there a guide that explains how to set
this up in Windows 10? Thanks.
