I've been struggling against this for a while and have tried most of
what I have come across in this forum but I am not able to play any
songs through spotty. I can browse my library select and album hit
play. It will load the album playlist into the play window

Download and install PuTTY
https://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/latest.html
Then run it and open a session (login) to your pCP IP address.
Login using the default pCP credentials (change the password via pCP
Beta mode ... Main/Security page).

I think that I have noticed this behaviour, too:
Now Playing showed that track 11 is played while I was hearing already
track 12. After restarting track 12, everything was in sync again.

My wife bought an Amazon Fire HD Tablet on Monday (Prime Day). Its the

I hope you can help. Spotty has stopped working after upgrading to
Spotty v4.5.2 yesterday.
It would have with 4.5.1 already, as that's when I introduced a bug...
v4.5.3 should fix this. Or/and uncheck the "disable non-blocking token
fetching" box.
I am having the same problem.
Trying to compare the logging information, my thoughts are:
Using MPD stream would appear to work.
Using DASH with JSON stream works if the encryption is 0, but if the
encryption is 1 is does not.

Can you uncheck the related box in the Spotty settings? This should not
be required on pCP. And that's what triggers the isssue. According to
cortegedusage unchecking that box fixed

Trying to get the plugin working on raspberry pi 2 with max2play, I also
tried with picoreplayer first and was unable to get it working. I
switched over to max2play hoping maybe the issue was missing packages,
but max2play not working either
did a clean install of max2play

I hope you can help. Spotty has stopped working after upgrading to
Spotty v4.5.2 yesterday. I have read through this thread and made all
of the changes I have seen or can think of:
- Deleted and reinstalled the plugin
- Deleted and re-registered my Spotify family accounts
