Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] PiCorePlayer - Installing Tidal --- Error Message - Plugin Failed to Load ...........

2022-04-06 Thread Michael Herger

OK, the guy I am helping did a complete re-install of PcP and Updated
LMS and Updated Libs - and is getting the same error message
when he checks the Tidal Plugin Box - Tidal Plugin Failed to load. I
had him dump the Server Log:

Did he resize his partition before the install? How much free space left
on it?

There must be thousands of these configurations out there... wouldn't
there have been any errors during the installation process?

Well, that is already the intent and the way it is supposed to work.
What is your device? The reason I ask is that I suspect it has Modern
Standby, which is different as I don't get messages from the OS saying
it is entering sleep/ waking up and I cannot control the order of
events. I believe what might be happening is the browser wakes up
before the player and thinks the player is gone, so automatically
reselects a player. I'm betting this does not happen for other players,
just the local player, right? I'll take another look at this issue.
Hopefully, there is a way for my app to register for Modern Standby
events and react.

It worked perfectly (as in found the correct directory) after I deleted
the config.ini file and added the parameters directly. 2 and a bit
hours for 16800 tracks is brilliant. Will investigate the 60 that
failed and see how the mixes go. Thanks again

Yes, sorry for being dim, this was somewhat unfamiliar territory. Have

By default the analyser tries to write bliss.db in the current folder,
perhaps you do not have write permission for c:\ ??? Tye setting
"db=c:\Bliss\bliss.db" (or whaterver path you want). This is all
mentioned in the README.md

Start of track...progress bar counts to 2 maybe 5 and jumps to 0 and
stops, no sound

By the seconds I mean the progress bar.
The behavior is not consistent every time a track is played
Sometimes it play 5 sec with sound, progress bar pause a few sec or jump
2-3 sec back all with sound.

Other times progress bar start counting to 2 sec but no sound, jump back
to 0 and play from that point with sound

setting spotty-86_64 disabled or not does not change anything

Deactivate it for a test.

Getting only a few seconds of audible sound is something I haven't seen

Looked a lot for that log setting..also there...anyway.

0-2 sec...no audio
replay from 2-3 sec...audio is audible

Players are Squeezebox boom and a squeezebox player(small flat box)
connected to Stereo receiver

No 429s (last one in the log is from 3 april)

What I still don't understand is whether you'd get any playback at all,

LMS/Spotty plugin seems to struggel to keep streaming.

I got Spotty.debug output in the log (added
log44perl.logger.plugin.spotty = debug to ./prefs/log.conf)

To play a single track there might be 20-50 entries in the log like
this

37643

Yes I know it load the systembut this system has plenty of
power/memory/diskspace etc...and just for debugging

Playing a complete list does not always succed...some times is LMS
indicating to play the track but no sound, skip forward makes next track
play

We are getting closer
I tick that on again (last time was with a complete playlist)
With 1 track, plays 1-3sec, replay from 0, play 1-3 sec, replay from
2sec and play then rest of track
With complete playlist (65 tracks), track 1 plays 1-3 sec, replay from
0, play 1-3 sec, replay from 2-3 sec, play rest of track
Skip forward to next track in playlist...start again as mentioned
above(complete tracklist) on each track

Hi Craig,

I have been following this thread with interest and keen to give the
bliss mixer a try, but seem to have fallen at the first hurdle - I
cannot get the analyser to run.
I have downloaded version 0.1.0 and it is sitting in C:\Bliss on my Win
11 machine. LMS is running on the same machine with the mixer plugin
installed.
All my music is in D:\NETWORK MUSIC FOLDER, D being a partition of the
main SSD drive.
Config.ini reads

[Bliss]
music=D:\NETWORK MUSIC FOLDER
lms=127.0.0.1

Windows Defender and Norton have been persuaded to accept the
executable, however when I try to run the .exe file, nothing at all
happens and nothing shows in task manager. Is there something obvious I
am missing here? I have tried everything I can think of, like adding
:9000, installing Bliss on D drive, forward slash instead of back
slash

I would be grateful for any advice offered, thank you

Tried thatno change

If I chose only 1 track from spotify...then it seems to try to play for
approx 2 secs.. and stops, no sound is coming out
If I press play again it just try for 2 secs again

Then reason for those many connections in earlier logs is that I chose a
whole playlist and in that case it simply jumps to next track after 2
secs
