So, from the point of view of a LMS/Squeezebox user, what's not to like?
If you already have a squeezebox system running, what do you need it
for?
It's just another streaming protocol. It seems to have fewer features
than competing solutions (LMS, AirPlay). It's really just

@bakker_be: Max2Play consists of webserver-scripts written in PHP that
start shell-scripts in the background to start/stop services, show

You should probably stop and exit LMS -before- you unzip/overwrite the

and I'm still using it for ripping because I'm too lazy to use a

If the CD is recognized then tagging is usually fine. Of course you
So my reading is this is essentially the same thing as audio over a

I have three vortexbox servers, two capable of ripping CDs. But I don't

ripper to match a rip back to the ACCURATERIP database (AR).** EAC,

There is a 1.4.0rc21 on github and, as far as I'm concerned, this is
ready to be released. If I don't have more feedback , say Wednesday,
I'll upload it as a stable version and push 1.3.3 away

Google has announced Google Cast for audio. This integrates the same
tech behind Chromecast into speakers, soundbars, and A/V receivers to
let you cast your music from Android, iOS, and the web. First hardware
partners for speakers are Sony, LG and Denon.
