Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: BBCiPlayer Plugin (UK only)
I'd like to add my voice of support and thanks to Triode/Adrian for his continuing work on behalf of this community with the BBC iPlayer and many other superb add-ins. Those of us who have been trying to work with, advise and understand the BBC over the last two months now have a much keener idea of the difficulties and exasperation involved in such an exercise. The strategy adopted, of keeping a low profile, making no comment on one side or the other of the arguments, but then making available to this community excellent solutions as and when possible, is most admirable. It is also the approach most likely to enable successful future progress with, and perhaps even some cooperation from, the idiosyncratic organisation we call Auntie - especially with further changes in the pipe-line! On behalf of myself and many grateful users, many thanks for an excellent job well done. Of course many others (bpa, bonze, utgg to name but a few) are doing vital work to help with this situation and are also much appreciated - but Triode's BBC iPlayer plugin, Squeezelite etc. are absolutely central to the Squeezebox success story. You are are much respected and appreciated. HI - A NEW UPDATE IS AVAILABLE! With the new Max2Play-Version some plugins got reworked: - Raspberry PI Settings: much better Overclocking for the old Raspberry PI and Raspberry PI 2, Support for all available HiFi-Berry Cards and IQAudio Cards -- even a Raspberry B+ runs quite good in turbo mode ;) - fixed some audiosettings for Squeezelite (Alsa-Parameter now set automatically after soundcard is choosen) - Added support for DSDPlayer-Plugin when installing squeezebox server (needs reinstall of squeezebox server) - Added Shairtunes Plugin 1-click installer for squeezebox server plugin on its tab in Webinterface of Max2Play -- enables Airplay with Squeezelite and other Squeezeplayers and you don't need to run Shairport as separate player (for users of Hifi-Berry card and other audiocards that don't support multiple audioplayers using the same audio device) - imroved Amazon Instant Prime Addon installer on Kodi/XBMC tab - removed an error on MiniDLNA restart for missing WLAN-Device - added pre alpha plugin Speech Control for testing (no support by email for this plugin) www.max2play.com/en/addons Improved Max2Play Framework: - added separation between Beta and Live versions for all plugins (better for testing) - added message that pops up, if less then 300 MB free space are available (for all who forget to resize filesystem... like me) Cheers, Stefan 2 x Max2Play on ODROID U2/U3 with LMS, Squeezelite, Shairport, XBMC 1 x Squeezebox Receiver 1 x Denon 1713 AVR + Nubert 5.1 System iPeng Max2Play Webinterface and SD-Image: http://www.max2play.com/ Max2Play Shop: http://shop.max2play.com/ flysurfer's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=61064 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101856 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Jeff Flowerday wrote: It seams to be list view that is slow, large art view is much more responsive. Shouldn't make any difference, the artwork used is the same. Which view is this? The first load can be slower, especially if also large lists of albums or a large playlist has to be loaded from the server at the same time. All the cores on your server don't really help, LMS is single-threaded. The important thing, as always, is to reduce the number of rescans since iPeng has to throw away the cache after a change to the library and that includes re-loading all artwork. If you are using a VM anyway I'd recommend using Linux, it usually performs better than Windows. You also don't need to dedicate 8GB of RAM, 2GB will be more than enough, the rest will not be used. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
flysurfer wrote: HI - A NEW UPDATE IS AVAILABLE! With the new Max2Play-Version some plugins got reworked: - Raspberry PI Settings: much better Overclocking for the old Raspberry PI and Raspberry PI 2, Support for all available HiFi-Berry Cards and IQAudio Cards -- even a Raspberry B+ runs quite good in turbo mode ;) - fixed some audiosettings for Squeezelite (Alsa-Parameter now set automatically after soundcard is choosen) - Added support for DSDPlayer-Plugin when installing squeezebox server (needs reinstall of squeezebox server) - Added Shairtunes Plugin 1-click installer for squeezebox server plugin on its tab in Webinterface of Max2Play -- enables Airplay with Squeezelite and other Squeezeplayers and you don't need to run Shairport as separate player (for users of Hifi-Berry card and other audiocards that don't support multiple audioplayers using the same audio device) - imroved Amazon Instant Prime Addon installer on Kodi/XBMC tab - removed an error on MiniDLNA restart for missing WLAN-Device - added pre alpha plugin Speech Control for testing (no support by email for this plugin) www.max2play.com/en/addons Improved Max2Play Framework: - added separation between Beta and Live versions for all plugins (better for testing) - added message that pops up, if less then 300 MB free space are available (for all who forget to resize filesystem... like me) Cheers, Stefan Hi Stefan Have tried this and still does not give the option to set up anything but the standard sound drivers in Audioplayer even though the DAC+ Pi2 is selected in Raspberry settings, I even tried starting again from scratch with a different SD card and still no joy. I don't want to break things at this point, as I won't be able to fix anything for a few weeks. I asked the person who got in touch with me to thoroughly test his build. If this is running fine for you, then it should be easy for me to include it in the builds when I'm ready for it. -- Michael As a WHS v1 user for my LMS, I'll try to install it. I've not seen others reporting running WHS v1 in postings recently (I'm sure there are some out there, but how many is a different question). Might take a week or two, I have family visiting over Easter. The English blog post is here: http://penguinlovesmusic.de/2015/03/11/ipeng-8-1-adds-quick-switch-and-more/ I've added your blog to Feedly so I won't have to miss out on a great new feature again! :-) Dammit, I was going to install Feedly because I've been looking for an RSS reader, but the current versions need iOS 7 and I'm on iOS 6. There doesn't appear to be a way to install an older version.
