Having a problem again with my pi server. Web up is not working and I'm
trying to connect via ssh BUT all the user names and passwords I'm using
are not working. I'm sure I didn't change the passwords.
Any ideas how I can get round this? I haves samba access but I think
this just to the root.

You don't have to set a special buffer directory. But if the devic does
not appear, look at the log you should see that when
I've lost connection to my pi via ssh and browser. .the squeeze works
and so does samba..I think I've either lost or corrupted the password
for ssh because I've tried them all! !
Have mounted sd and tried a few amends to the cmidline.txt but no luck.
Anyone got any ideas? Copy a password? Can

After 2 days of frustrating testing (!) - each test takes 19 mins. I can
now state what happens.
No HLS or AAC stream plays for more than 19 mins. At 19.00 minutes the
sound stops - the time counter continues to about 19.08, then resets
back to 19.01, counts to 19.08, then resets to 19,01 ad

Seems to confirm a size problem. Can you let directory to -1 and max
size to 1200

Thanks for the reply buddy but no such luck. Ip is the same ..it's all
working normally as a squeeze server because music and radio is working
but not being able to see it via ssh and the browser Ui makes me feel
like it's broken. .manner in should be happy it'll surprised stop me

You probably locked the Server in Lock Settings

I'm having trouble connecting to my server. When I open Squeeze CTRL
and go to preferences, the "Servers" item is greyed out. Everything
worked fine as recently as a couple of days ago.
I'm running 7.7.3

Absolutely - you can set the buffer directory & limit globally (common
parameters) or have specific values for each player (select a player in
drop down list)

Just pushed an updated release with the architecture changes that
(hopefully) should make it stable. Coexistence with other Chromecast
works. The main missing item is artwork sending in metadata (this causes
the Chromecast to close the connection and I don't understand why so
far)
