There was no /usr/libexec/Plugins, but I made one, and it is working.
It would be nice if the info screen told the user the function of the
three directories.

as Michael said, and as i have experienced myself, it is very likely
coming from some plugin.
my advice: reset all plugins to default, re-install spotify protocole
only and check. it should be working fine (if it doesnt, would lead us
to a different cause
It just happened again, so it seems pretty repeatable.
I am using SqueezePad to initiate the playlist change - perhaps that's a
factor?
As soon as the Touch reboots, playback starts immediately to the album I
was trying to play.

Thanks, but I think you've misunderstood the issue. I have my
screensaver set to black when idle or not playing (to preserve the
display). Michael had asked about the screensaver in

I am no specialist, but black screen when idle, i would go for a factory
reset on the player

i got the exact same bug on raspberry server (Max2Play) by adding the
shairtunes2 plugin.

Is there any way "Bigger Artwork in Lists" could also apply to the Home
menu/list? The bigger rows make selection easier and I would prefer the
bigger size to be in all lists. Thanks.
