Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread

2017-07-04 Thread Michael Herger

I sync two Squeezebox Touch's with iPeng. If I look at the bottom of
the iPeng screen, I see my players, two Touch's and Player1. If Player1
is on, and I try to play Pandora, iPeng returns the msg "You must be a
subscriber to use Pandora from this device". If I turn Player1 off, I
can play Pandora without a problem. What is Player1, and have I setup
something wrong?

Did you see my response in the other thread you posted this?

These mixes are not available through Spotify's API. See the discussion
on this topic from a few days ago.

Thank you, i've just post the log file. I saw nothing really helpful.
Perhaps you will with a tiger eye ;)!

It's only a small snippet. But from what I can see the metadata looks ok
(there are timestamps which define when a track is supposed to be
available). But I must assume that the call to get the stream URL
doesn't return anything streamable.

Is this issue still valid for this particular album? And do you see this
only happen with new releases? We've seen similar oddities with Spotify,
where tracks would only be available for streaming on SB a few days
after they were released in the "native" app.

I recently acquired a ds216play -- I did not have to update perl before
installing pinkdot's LMS 7.9.0 package for it. I've not tried LMSRepack,
so if you go that route YMMV.

Brilliant - thanks! I think that might be exactly what I've been looking

1. this is indeed an arbitrarily chosen limitation: we can only get 50
tracks in one request. In order to get 1000 tracks, we'd have to launch
20 requests. This alone might get us blocked by Spotify. They don't give
hard numbers, but in some comment they mentioned that one would be
allowed to send about 25-30 requests per minute. As all users of Spotty
are sharing this quota, we have to be careful. If it only shows 198,
then very likely two of the tracks were marked as not available in your
country.

2. I don't see a Podcast menu in the official Spotify client either. Is
this a feature only available to some markets? I don't think they
support it in their documented API yet.

3. You can add tracks to a playlist using the track's context menu. But
that's it. Major playlist editing is better done in the Spotify
applications.

4. No. Spotty requires a Premium account.

Might work for some that way. My first install of LmsRepack ended in

guess it was missing Perl support. And after installing Perl I could

Yes it should be available via Package Center. Nothing to configure.
